In two weeks the village will be transformed into a scene of dancing for the Sarus Crane Festival! There are just 40 places, to experience food, dance, and of course the birds themselves.
This festival combines fun, music, and nature:
- Traditional Apsara Khmer dance group Cambodian Living Arts;
- The natural inspiration that is the sarus cranes in the wetland;
- Local food;
- Role-play show developed from folk tales;
- and round it all off with a pop band for you to dance along with.
Fifteen lucky visitors can spend the night in village homestays;
There are also 25 day passes.
Tickets: Overnight stay: $60 all-inclusive;Day-pass: $50. You can buy them at the National Museum in Phnom Penh and the Tourist Information Offices in Kampot and Kep. Return transport from Kampot and Kep tourist offices is included.
Please note the main venue is in the village pagoda, so please dress appropriately. Many of the activities will be outdoors.
